Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed on Saturday after the cracker exploded while he was making it in Odisha’s Ganjam district. The incident took place in Halikote.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jitendra Pradhan of karana sahi in Arabinda Nagar of Khallikote.
According to reports, Jitendra was making crackers on the roof of his house around 7.30 am today morning when the cracker exploded. He was then rushed to the hospital but by then had died from the critical injury.
He was reportedly making fire crackers today morning to fulfill the order given to stage the Ramayan play in the city.
After receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
