Spy x Family’s smallest yet biggest star makes her Cross Shinjuku Vision debut.
Spy x Family ostensibly has three main characters: Lloyd, a spy masquerading as a doctor, Ior, an assassin masquerading as a housewife, and Anyatheir adopted daughter of elementary school age posing as a child who do not do have psychic abilities to read minds. Really, though, Anya steals almost every scene she’s in, as her precociously pure-hearted tendencies make her impossible not to get emotionally attached to and root for, whether she’s trying to help ensure world peace or win school a dodgeball competition (although these two goals are always mutually exclusive).
So with Spy x Family With the debut of the anime’s second season just around the corner and a holiday promotion taking place on one of the premiere giant video screens in downtown Tokyo, it only makes sense that the series’ biggest star is the one spreading the word to passers-by in Tokyo, as like Anya is currently appearing on the Cross Shinjuku Vision billboard outside Shinjuku Station.

The unique curved design and placement on top of the Cross Shinjuku Vision screen helps create a 3-D effect, and while it’s not as pronounced here as it was last month when the display was filled with cat Pokemon, the use of shadows still makes it look , that Anya does gaze above the hustle and bustle of the Shinjuku district.

“Hey everyone down there, Anya has a request for you all,” she exclaims in the charming voice of voice actress Atsumi Tanezaki. “Don’t miss what Anya is up to!” she reminds all who can hear before the teaser trailer for Spy x Family Plays from season 2.
Anya appears twice per hour at Cross Shinjuku Vision, at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour. The videos also look a bit different with the 40 minute version shown below.

What’s more, Anya decorates Shinjuku Alta Vision and Newno GS Shinjuku Vision as well as video billboards. Alta Vision and Cross Shinjuku Vision are almost right next to each other and if you’re lucky, you might just be able to catch double dose Anya.

Anya made her first appearance at Cross Shinjuku Vision on Monday and will stay until October 9th. Meanwhile, Spy x Family Season 2 premieres on October 1st, and you’ll definitely want to catch the opening credits.
