SS Rajamouli List of upcoming films: Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli (commonly known as SS Rajamouli) is an Indian director and screenwriter best known for his work on the historical fiction films Baahubali and Baahubali 2.
He became popular in Telugu cinema as a director of box office hits such as Magadheera (2009), Eega (2012) and Baahubali: The Beginning (2015). His other notable directing efforts include the sports drama Sye, the social issues film Vikramarkudu and the dramas Maryada Ramanna and Chhatrapati. He was very successful with the dubbing and remakes of his films of him in several Indian languages. Star World India named him “Entertainer of the Year” in 2012. Among the many awards he has received are the National Film Award, the Filmfare Award, the State Nandi Award and the International Indian Film Academy Utsavam Award. In 2016 he was granted India’s fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, for his outstanding contributions to the art area.
Yamadonga was followed by Vikramarkudu in 2006. Magadheera (2009), the director’s next film, was one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time and garnered major accolades around the world. Based on the theme of reincarnation, the film Magadheera (2009) won the Rajamouli Filmfare Award for Best Director in Telugu, the Nandi Award for Best Director in Telugu and the CineMAA Award for Best Director in Telugu (2009). He did not direct Eega, a bilingual fantasy film in Telugu and Hindi, until 2012. Rajamouli Baahubali’s epic historical fiction film: The Beginning, produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devinen, was one of his most commercially successful films . This was the first of two parts of the film and was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. He was up there with the best in terms of Grossi. And, more recently, he gave us RRR, India’s biggest blockbuster, which made even more money than its predecessor.
