The Honorable Russell Carrington Wilson (born November 29, 1988) is a quarterback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League in the sport of American football. (NFL). Between 2008 and 2010, he starred in college football and baseball at NC State.
In 2011, he transferred to Wisconsin, where he would break the FBS single-season passing efficiency record and lead his team to both the Big Ten Championship and the Rose Bowl the following year.
Additionally, he was a second baseman with the minor league Tri-City Dust Devils in 2010 and the minor league Asheville Tourists in 2011. As of 2019, his professional baseball rights are owned by the Somerset Patriots, who are Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
