Renewals come down to several factors. Three internal indicators of why a show will be renewed or canceled have been touted. These are “adjusted impression share”, “performance score” and “impact value”.

While we as outsiders are unable to calculate these metrics, what we can look at as outsiders includes Netflix’s top 10 metrics, hourly figures, third-party data (including watch hours and completion data) and external search sources that you will do below.

Netflix’s head of drama Ginny Howe spoke to Deadline on August 27, and the article stated that “executives are high on Partner Track and the series is looking good for a Season 2 renewal.”

What to expect from Partner Track season 2 on Netflix

If the show gets renewed? Where can we expect the show to head?

By the end of the 10 episodes, Ingrid is left disillusioned after her mission to find a partner goes awry at the Parsons Valentine & Hunt and is ultimately thwarted by Jeff Murphy. The same Jeff Murphy she had an on-and-off relationship with in Season 1. This is even after all her hard work to rise above all the obstacles put in her way in Season 1.

Georgia Lee spoke with Deadline shortly after the release of Season 1 and discussed where they will be heading in Season 2. Here are some of the key points discussed:

  • Don’t expect the relationship between Ingrid and Murphy to be restored anytime soon.
  • Regarding the romances, Lee said, “I would like to say that Ingrid doesn’t choose Team Murphy or Team Nick or Team Z, she chooses herself. This is her best trip ever.
  • Lee hasn’t ruled out bringing Nick (played by Rob Heaps) back.
  • Expect more from the Rachel-Tyler-Ingrid trio.
