Man shot dead in west London, police arrest 29-year-old on charges of ‘murder’

A 29-year-old man was arrested on murder charges following a fatal shooting in west London.

The officers were called to Kensington High Street on Sunday morning following news of the shooting.

One man – believed to be 20 years old – was found by officers with a gunshot wound and received emergency first aid. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics and died after 5:30 am

Their families have been informed and are assisted by specially trained agents. There is currently a police cordon in a section of Kensington High Street and medical examiners are on site.

A 29-year-old man suspected of murder has been arrested, the Met Office announced. The man remains in custody.

Law enforcement officials said an autopsy exam was about to take place. Met Specialist Crime Command has opened an investigation into the murder.
