EXCEPTIONAL BACK TO SCHOOL BONUS. The exceptional back-to-school bonus, approved in Parliament this summer, aims to support the purchasing power of the most modest, undermined by inflation.

[Mise à jour du lundi 29 août 2022 à 09h26] There are only a few weeks left until the back-to-school exceptional bonus is paid. It was scheduled for Thursday 15 September. The amount of this exceptional back-to-school bonus is 100 euros per beneficiary, plus 50 euros per child. No prior procedure is required: payment is made automatically to the beneficiaries. The inflation bonus is intended only for the beneficiaries of the benefits, such as the RSA, but also for the recipients of the activity bonus and scholarship students who do not receive accommodation.

The payment of the exceptional help for the return to school is scheduled for September 15, 2022. All practical details, including the date and methods of payment, must be established in a decree to be published.

Who will receive the 2022 inflation bonus? Condition

Urgent aid disbursed at the beginning of the school year only concerns recipients of certain allowances:

  • Aspa beneficiary (former minimum age)
  • beneficiary AAH
  • RSA receiver
  • Beneficiary of the Activity Bonus
  • APL beneficiary
  • Classmate

The reference tax income of the family unit is not examined in advance.

What is the inflation premium in 2022?

The government has provided details. The amount of the 2022 inflation bonus is 100 euros per family and 50 euros per child. For a family of two adults and two children, the inflation premium is therefore 200 euros.

Will retirees benefit from the inflation bonus?

Retirees can take advantage of the 2022 inflation bonus, provided they receive the minimum age (Aspa). Note: Starting from 1 July, the basic old-age pension will be increased retroactively by 4%.

What about RSA receivers?

RSA beneficiaries are among the beneficiaries of the inflation bonus.
