Toya Battersby (Georgia Taylor) again ignores the concerns of Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) and Leanne (Jane Danson) in Coronation Street and decides to take part in another protest, fully aware that if she is arrested it will affect her upcoming court appearance process after the death of Imran (Charlie de Mello).
The latest protest takes place because of Nadeem, a businessman who starts working with Carla (Alison King).
Spider and his friend Griff know that Nadeem is known for his unethical work practices and decide to expose him.
After being warned by Roy (David Neilson), Nina (Molly Gallagher) and Toya, Carla decides to end the deal with Nadeem and meets him in the Underworld to break the news.
Outside, the protest begins and Craig (Colson Smith) tries to disperse the crowd.
As Carla and Nadeem exit, Griff grabs a bottle and throws it, hitting Craig in the head.
With Griff in handcuffs, Toya and Carla find themselves drawn into the melee.
The next day, as things calm down, Carla is unimpressed to see Griff talking to Toya, and later she spots him lecturing Peter (Chris Gascoigne) about his big pharma conspiracy theory.
As these storylines begin to intertwine, something tells us we haven’t seen the last of Griff yet, but will Carla and Toya continue to find themselves caught up in his drama?
