GarageBand drops new in-app Remix Sessions featuring Katy Perry and K-pop supergroup SEVENTEEN

Starting today, GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS will include two brand new in-app remix sessions with Katy Perry and K-pop supergroup SEVENTEEN.

GarageBand remix sessions allow anyone to express their inner DJ using songs from today’s top artists. With in-app inspiration from the artists themselves and detailed video instructions from an Apple Creative Pro, the sessions offer aspiring musicians the chance to give their own personal touch to the hit songs “Harleys in Hawaii” by Katy Perry and “Darl. + ing “of SEVENTEEN.

Katy Perry and SEVENTEEN Remix sessions are available for free download in GarageBand’s Sound Library, which also includes a wide variety of free loops, sounds, and instruments that provide all the building blocks you need to mix and match and take songs originals in a whole new direction. Using GarageBand’s famous Live Loops interface for remixing, anyone can quickly rearrange and add new elements to songs, keeping everything in sync with tempo and key – no music theory experience required. Remix FX allows even more variety with filters, repeaters and more to create the ultimate drop. Whether it’s a complete transition from house to hip-hop or a multi-genre mashup, GarageBand users can unleash their creativity.

Offered in Apple Stores around the world, Today at Apple’s free creative and educational sessions inspire customers to go further with the products they love. Starting today, a brand new Today at Apple session, Music Skills: Remix Katy Perry, will be offered in person at Apple Stores around the world. In this session, Retail Creative Pros will teach customers how to remix Katy Perry’s “Harleys in Hawaii” using GarageBand on iPad and iPhone. Previous sessions of Today at Apple Remix have featured top musical artists including Billie Eilish, Khalid, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and more. Customers can sign up for a session at an Apple Store near them on the Today at Apple home page.
