France extradits Txeroki to Spain to stand trial for an attack carried out by ETA in Bilbao in 2002.

ETA member Garikoits Aspiazu Rubina, Cherokee, arrived in Spain after being extradited by France to stand trial at the Supreme Court for an attack that took place in Bilbao on January 12, 2002 with a car bomb that caused property damage.

As stated on Eph police sources, the National Police was in charge of guarding the former ETA military chief and will transfer him to the Soto del Real prison in Madrid.

It was last January when the investigative chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal decided the delivery to Spain of the ETA member for a maximum period of two monthsdespite the fact that the National High Court requested six.

Meanwhile, Aspiazu’s defense has asked that the delivery be limited to one month, as it is easier to get help in the French prison of Lanemezan, where he is currently serving his sentence.

Txerokiwho is also known by the alias Arrano, was arrested on 17 November 2008 in France and the justice of that country, as well as that of Spain, has several times condemned him.
