(dpa) A woman in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 34 years in prison for having a Twitter account, following activists and sharing their posts. Through her activities on the Internet, Salma al-Shihab “undermined the security of the people and the government,” the human rights group GCHR said on Wednesday from the prosecutor’s statement. It is the harshest sentence ever handed down to a freedom fighter in this country.
