10 killed, 15 injured in stabbings in Saskatchewan, Canada: police

Police in Saskatchewan, Canada, say two suspects are at large after 10 people were killed and 15 wounded in stabbings at 13 different locations on Sunday.

The Royal Saskatchewan Canadian Mounted Police have identified Damien Sanderson and Miles Sanderson as the two suspects in the stabbings. They were driving a black Nissan Rogue with registration number SK 119 MPI, police said.

The Sandersons are armed and dangerous, police said. RCMP warned people not to leave their seats, seek shelter and not pick up hitchhikers.

Canadian police say multiple people have died at 13 locations in two Saskatchewan communities.

The stabbings took place between the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, located northeast of Saskatoon, police said.

“At this stage of our investigation, we believe some of the victims were targeted by the suspects and others were attacked randomly,” RCMP Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said in a statement.
