The realme 9i 5G packs a ton of features and benefits such as a faster 5G chipset, a 90Hz display, an attractive design, and runs on the realme 3.0 user interface based on the Android 12 OS. 1) Split screen using a simple gesture

Did you know that you can use the split screen feature on realme 9i 5G, it can be used to access two apps at the same time? You can chat with your contacts on WhatsApp and watch a YouTube video at the same time. This feature is useful if you are multitasking on your phone and using two apps at the same time.

To use the split screen feature on realme 9i 5G, here’s what you need to do, swipe up with three fingers to enter split screen mode and choose the app you want to use in split mode. Make sure you use the three finger gesture on the app you want to split. That’s it, you now have two apps under the split screen. You can adjust the slider to resize apps.

You can enable or disable the Split Screen feature from the Settings menu.

2) Swipe three fingers for a screenshot

Taking screenshots using the three finger gesture is the easiest and by far the most convenient way to take screenshots on your smartphone. By using the three finger gesture, you will be able to take screenshots much easier without any hassle. All it takes is just three fingers that you have to swipe across the screen from top to bottom.

To take screenshots, swipe the screen using three fingers from top to bottom. This feature is enabled by default, however you can disable or re-enable it from your phone settings.

3) Capture partial and scrolling screens

Unlike full screenshots, a partial screenshot gesture captures a portion of the screen. To take partial screenshots, touch and hold your 3 fingers on the screen for one second, then swipe down on the screen. You are given an on-screen selection, choose the screen area as you like and take partial screenshots. Remember, you will need to hold your three fingers on the screen for one second and then swipe down.

Scrolling screenshots are useful if you are saving a long chat, description, document, or some information on the Internet. To take scrolling screenshots, use the same gesture and swipe the bottom of the screen. You’ll find this setting just below the same 3-finger screenshot menu.

4) Lock apps using fingerprint

The realme 9i 5G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and you can use it to unlock your phone. However, the fingerprint scanner can also be used to lock individual apps installed on the phone and unlock them using fingerprints when needed.

  • Make sure you have registered your fingerprints on the phone. Go to Settings -> Password and security -> Fingerprint and add footprints if you haven’t already. Once done, you will be shown a menu where you can choose to activate the App lock.
  • Now go to Settings -> Privacy -> App lock and activate the slider, you will be asked to set a password for privacy.
  • Choose the apps you want to lock using your fingerprint using the slider. That’s it, the apps will now be locked and protected with your fingerprints. Now try to open a secure app and you will be prompted for authentication. Use your fingerprint to unlock apps.

5) Put watermarks, date and time on the photos

Add a percentage of the phone’s remaining battery outside of the battery icon or inside the battery icon. You can also hide the percentage if you don’t want to. This quick setting will allow you to enter a percentage right next to the battery icon so you can easily check the remaining battery on your phone.

  • To view the battery percentage in the status bar, simply go to Settings -> Notifications & Status Bar -> Status Bar -> Battery Percentage and choose the desired option.

Now you can see the percentage inside or outside the battery depending on the chosen setting.

8) Check the speed of the incoming Internet Real time

This gives you an idea if you are really getting slow internet speeds from your service provider or if there is something in the background that is hogging your data. 9) Use dark mode

  • You can use the Automatic gearbox to automatically set dark mode based on your schedule or use the Sunset at Sunrise option.

10) Hide the camera notch from apps

The realme 9i 5G has a notch on the selfie camera and may hamper your gaming or video experience. If you are bothered by the notch, simply hide it from view. To hide the selfie camera notch here’s what you need to do.

  • Go to Settings -> Display and brightness -> Screen display and choose the Front camera view via app option. Choose the app you don’t want to show the notch for and select the Hide front camera option (Show app in full screen). This will hide the notch and you can see that the front notch has disappeared from view. You can edit it again if you change your mind.
