The fifth season of The crown hasn’t arrived on Netflix yet, but we have a lot of information about the upcoming sixth and final season of The crownwho recently started filming, and is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2023.
Created by Peter Morgan, The crown has become one of the most popular originals Netflix has to offer. Since its first season, The crown is one of the most expensive shows ever made, with each season costing over $100 million to produce. Originally there was only going to be five seasons, but when production began on the fifth season, Peter Morgan changed his mind and a sixth season was announced.
Over four seasons, The crown has been nominated for a total of 423 awards so far, winning 129 of them. The crown swept the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards in 2021, winning all seven awards in the drama categories, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Olivia Colman’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II, joining Claire Foy , who also won a Primetime Emmy for her portrayal of the British monarch.
When it is The crown season 6 coming to netflix?
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the sixth and final season of The crown. However, going by the releases of the previous seasons, we can predict when the final season arrives;

On 3 September 2022, it was announced that Prince William and Kate Middleton had been cast in the sixth and final season of The Crown.
Making her acting debut as Kate Middleton is Meg Bellamy, who won the role after impressing with her self-recorded auditions after responding to a casting call on social media.
Two actors will portray Prince William in season six, Ed McVeigh, 21, and Rufus Campa, 16, both making their professional screen debuts.

The early 2000s were some of the most difficult years of Queen Elizabeth’s life, thanks to the death of her late sister, Princess Margaret, in February 2002. Just a month later, in March 2002, aged 101 age, the queen mother also died.
Before the deaths of two of her closest family members, the royal family was still dealing with the aftermath of Lady Diana’s death. At the age of 16, Prince Harry confronted his father, Prince Charles, after learning that Harry regularly smoked cannabis and drank alcohol. Prince Harry was sent to Featherstone Lodge, a heroin detox center in Peckham, where he would learn the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
Events outside the United Kingdom led to Republican George W. Bush becoming the 43rd President of the United States. The first year of his presidency saw the tragic events of 9/11, which ultimately brought the US and its allies into the Iraq War and the War on Terror.
