Bhubaneshwar: Price of commercial LPG cylinders reduced by Rs 115.50 with immediate effect from today viz. Tuesday. With the price drop, a 19 kg LPG bottle will now cost Rs 1,744 in the national capital Delhi. However, the price of household gas cylinders will remain unchanged.
Now, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will cost Rs 1,846 in Kolkata, Rs 1,696 in Mumbai and Rs 1,893 in Chennai. Earlier in October, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were cut by Rs 25, bringing the cost of a cylinder down to Rs 1,859, from Rs 1,885 in Delhi.
Domestic LPG price was last revised on 07 May 2022. Domestic LPG price in Delhi currently stands at Rs 1053 for a 14.2 kg cylinder. While in Kolkata it is priced at Rs 1,079, in Mumbai Rs 1,052.5 and in Chennai Rs 1,068.5.
Oil trading companies announced the drop in prices following a decline in global oil prices. This is the 7th price cut since June amid softening international prices.
Meanwhile, state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) are also likely to cut petrol and diesel prices by 40 paise per liter from November 1, 2022, as international crude oil prices have fallen. The price drop is expected to last for 5 days, which means it will fall by a total of Rs.2.
