There isn’t a cricketer or football player among the 15 rising sports stars who make up this year’s Melville City Youth Sports Scholarship winners.
Sisters Jasmine and Chelsea Wu are already among the best table tennis players in WA while Chantelle Wheatley traveled to Budapest with the Australian art swimming team in June for the World Synchronized Swimming Championships.
In a sporting diversity show, the roster also includes a competing ninja warrior, cross-country and triathlon gunslinger, male netballer, and even a trampoline.
