Pedestrian who died after being hit by car in Shropshire is named Rebecca Steer

A woman is killed by police as Rebecca Steyer after being hit by a car outside a takeaway restaurant in Shropshire.

West Murcia police said Ms. Steer, 22, was hit by a car outside the takeout grid on Willow Street, Oswestry, at 2:50 am on Sunday.

Ms. Steyer’s family described him as “the most loving, talented and kind person” you ever wanted to know.



She was the best daughter, sister, niece and friend you could ever want.

Another person was seriously injured and is hospitalized.

The two pedestrians were taken by ambulance to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, but Ms Steer died shortly after arrival.

Her family said, “We are all completely devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter Rebecca.

“She always had a smile and a laugh that made everyone fall in love with her.

“He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family.

“She was the best daughter, sister, niece and friend you could ever want.

“Rest in peace beautiful girl.”

A 28-year-old man was arrested on murder charges in connection with the incident and is in police custody.
