Unauthorized meetings in Jamia: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently issued a notice to students warning that the campus will not be used for any kind of “political agenda”. Therefore, student gatherings or gatherings are not permitted here for this purpose. Students may not gather in groups anywhere on campus without prior authorization from the administration. If so, strict measures will be taken against these students.
What does the administration say?
In this regard, the JMI administration claims that some students organize such meetings for malicious political purposes. These students who study here, who came here only to study, face all sorts of problems, and there is also an obstacle in their studies.
What about the JMI registrar –
In the notice issued on the matter, JMI Chancellor Najim Jafiri said it was found that many students from different political parties are using the campus for their political agenda. Every day they organize dharna, demonstrations, boycott campaigns, etc. and they use the campus for their evil political reasons.
It affects the quiet atmosphere here, the study environment deteriorates, and even students who want to focus only on their studies in a disciplined way have problems.
Repeated rule –
According to the TOI report, in the past there was also the rule to ask for permission to meet, protest or gather at the university, this rule is repeated again to remind students. The opinion was therefore reissued. Now the students have to take care of these rules.
