Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a man was killed and his son became critical after two miscreants barged into their house and beat them with sticks. The incident took place at Khadal Sahi of Bolsar village under Kabisurya Nagar police limits.
The deceased has been identified as Ananda Nahak and his son, who sustained grievous injuries, has been identified as Amara Nahak.
According to reports, for some reason two people from the village barged into Ananda Nahak’s house and attacked Amara with sticks. But at that moment his father came to his son’s aid and he was beaten by the two culprits.
As a result of the attack, Ananda Nahak succumbed to the injury only on the spot. His son was shifted to Kabisuria Nagar Hospital in a critical condition.
On receiving information, police personnel from Kabisuria Nagar police station reached the spot and started investigation. The two criminals have been detained by the police.
