Kunchhacko Boban Upcoming movies: This year, Kunchhacko Boban released three films. His previous films include “Pada” and “Nna Than Case Kodu”, and his most recent film, “Ottu”, has just been released and is doing well in Malayalam theaters. The Tamil version of Ottu, nicknamed “Rendagam”, however, has not yet been released and is scheduled for September 23rd.
In 1997, in the Malayalam musical novel Aniyathipravu, directed by Fazil, Kunchhacko made his acting debut alongside Shalini. The film was a huge success and Kunchhacko became famous almost immediately. He was chosen for future films such as Nakshathratharattu, Mayilpeelokkavu and Niram, one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of 1999, as a result of the financial success of his first film. The actor made a cameo appearance in the film Harikrishnans, also directed by Fazil.
After a string of bad films like Ingane Oru Nilapakshi, Prem Poojari and Sahayathrikakku Snehapoorvam, Kunchhacko took a break from acting. During his absence, the actor got married and was not seen on screen until 2008, when he made a special appearance on a song for Shafi’s LollyPop. But with the critically lauded and financially successful detective comedy Gulumaal: The Escape, directed by VK Prakash, he’s back in the spotlight. Following the success of this film, he went on to make a number of other financially successful films, including Mummy & Me, Sakudumbam Shyamala, Traffic, 3 Kings and Sevenes and Doctor Love. The actor received the title of Youth Icon of the Year at the 2011 Asianet Film Awards.
