J&K News: Pakistan breaks ceasefire, firing on BSF patrol party

In violation of the ceasefire near Tarbandi in the Arnia sector on the Indo-Pakistani international border, Pakistani Rangers opened fire on a BSF patrol. BSF also reacted by firing bullets. BSF IG SPS Sandhu said that in the morning, BSF jawans were on patrol near Tarbandi. Pakistani rangers opened fire on the patrol team from Khanoor post, maintaining fences and clearing reeds (tall grass) at the Chinaz border post on the border at 8:55 am. He received an adequate response. 15-20 bullets were fired from both sides, in which no damage was reported. At the same time, senior officials also visited the site to take stock of the situation.

A Pakistani infiltrator was recently captured in the RS Pura sector. Mohammad Shabad (45), a resident of Sialkot in Pakistan, was arrested near Tarbandi on the night of 26-27 August. BSF counteracts any suspicious movement at the border.
