James Connor will not play against. Vikings due to rib injury

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner will not play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday because he injured his ribs.

Conner will miss his third straight game, so Eno Benjamin will once again be in charge of the running backs.

Connor has had injury problems all year. In Week 2, when the Steelers beat the Raiders, he injured his ankle, but it wasn’t considered too bad, so he played in the next game.

The 27-year-old veteran was coming off his second Pro Bowl season when the 2022 season began. In 2021, he rushed for 752 yards, caught 375 yards and scored 18 touchdowns, helping Arizona reach the playoffs.

Conner played at least 13 games in four of his first five NFL seasons. This season, however, he struggled. In five games, he has rushed for just 200 yards and one touchdown on 54 carries. He has also caught 14 passes for 103 yards and no touchdowns.

Since Conner hasn’t been very good this season, it could be argued that the Cardinals offense would be better if Benjamin started again.

The Arizona State sophomore just played against the New Orleans Saints and rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown while also catching four passes for 21 yards.
