The day Microsoft announced the new August batch of games for Xbox Game Pass, curators at the service’s PC division chose to tease all their followers with a clue that’s hard to ignore.
A few hours ago, the official PC Game Pass Twitter channel has changed their profile picture, choosing a desolate landscape topped by a leaden sky. Social managers have justified the novelty by talking about a preference for landscape photos, but many players believe that behind this move there is something more than a simple desire for change.
As pointed out by many gamers, the view that is now the background to the PC Game Pass logo looks like it came out of Death Stranding, and in fact on careful analysis it is really difficult to blame them. The atmosphere seems to be that of Hideo Kojima’s latest work, so this new profile picture is considered to all intents and purposes as a preview of the arrival of Death Stranding on PC Game Pass.
It should be noted that Death Stranding is not on the list of new late-August games for Xbox and PC Game Pass announced this afternoon. That Microsoft wants to make a surprise?
