The Kindle Paperwhite is Amazon’s mid-range e-reader, notably it has a more defined screen and water resistance. As mentioned in the introduction, this Kindle Paperwhite differs from the entry-level model in two important respects. The screen in the first place, with a diagonal of 6.8 inches and a resolution of 300 dpi for a more pronounced “paper” effect compared to the basic Kindle, which peaked at 167 dpi. Second point, the water resistance with IPX8 certification. As a result, the reading lamp will not be afraid of water, so you can safely turn it on in your pool, bathtub or beach and it will come out unscathed in the event of a fall (be careful not to deliberately immerse it in water). Large readers will do less, but in use it is rare that you need to charge your Kindle more than once a week.
Finally, remember that the Kindle measures 174mm x 125mm x 8.1mm and weighs 205 grams, almost as much as a smartphone and therefore little more than a classic book.
