The prospect of a treat was too strong for the young man to resist and he quickly reached the car to try to have a snack.

However, chaos ensued when his arm froze and emergency services were called.

The Adelaide Metropolitan Fire Brigade team spent an hour trying to free the boy before they could.

He was taken to the hospital with minor cuts in his arm.
