The animated children’s series Dead End: Paranormal Park is getting a second ride on Netflix, with the show returning with a fresh batch of episodes on Netflix in mid-October 2022.
The first premieres on Netflix in June 2022. Dead End: Paranormal Park was the new series by Hamish Steele based on the graphic novel DeadEndia.
Although the show made the top 10 on TV in only 3 regions around the world, it made the top 10 titles for children on Netflix in several dozen regions. In the United States, the show was in the children’s top 10 for a total of 10 days before being dropped.
The show heavily features LGBTQ+ themes, representation, and diversity, and as such has made it a target of several Republican lawmakers in the United States.
Given how quickly the show was seemingly “renewed,” it’s almost certain that this second batch of episodes was the result of an original pre-order instead of a renewal.
The second season of the series will appear on Netflix worldwide on October 13, 2022.
Also coming to Netflix in October 2022 for kids includes a brand new season (Season 4) of chips and potatoes which appears on October 3.
Netflix also gave us a short synopsis of what we can expect from the second season:
“In Season 2, Barney, Norma and friends are now the official demon clean-up team in the park. But are they ready to take a break and just be normal teenagers? Follow their delightful supernatural adventures with a host of strange new creatures, from angels to evil twins to demented dolls.”
Confirmed return to voice in season 2 includes Zach Barrack like barney Kodi Kavita as Norma, Alex Brighton like pugsley Emily Osment like Courtney and Kenny Tran like Logan.
