Resident in Ille-et-Vilaine, he leaves the game with a kitten which amounts to 33,450 euros. The participant confides Telesvago about her journey and her experience on the TF1 show, marked in particular by a very moving moment for her, as well as for the viewers.

Telesvago: How do you react to your elimination?

Cecile: At that time, I was relieved. Because the recordings follow one after the other and that requires a lot of concentration. I didn’t expect it at all. But it was just happiness, and I was happy to play. I am also relieved that I came across a question I did not know at all. I have no regrets !

How did it happen ?

I fell during the second round, where you have to unmask the intruders. I went orange on a question about the age of singers, and then it was a question about Corsica that worried me. I’ll be teased because I’ve never set foot there. I went red and Tahar, the candidate I challenged, got the correct answer.

What prompted you to register?

I am part of the club Questions for a sample of San Malo. We train three times a week. I have a real passion for general knowledge games. I kept postponing enrollment. But since I knew no one else would tell me I was completely ready, I went there and it happened very quickly. I registered in April and was called back very quickly. I passed the selections and was called in late June for registration.

Did you have a goal?

At all. I was called the day before to replace a candidate who had covid at short notice. I was a bit stunned taking the early morning train. I was there mainly for the pleasure of playing. I didn’t believe it at all when I became a midday teacher. And the adventure continued.

So you didn’t have any pressure …

Yes, and you need to know that there are amazing teams all over the place. Everyone in the team smiles and we immediately get at ease. And Jean-Luc Reichmann is friendly and easy-going. He helps lower the blood pressure. We don’t realize the cameras are there.

What surprised you the most about taking part in this show?

What struck me most was the grandeur it took on around me. Many former students – I’m a Spanish teacher – contacted me: I didn’t think the audience was watching the show. If I had stayed alone for a show, maybe it wouldn’t have happened like that, but being the noon master, little by little, word of mouth worked. It’s always fun when people recognize me on the street, even if it was my spouse, Jean-Pierre, who was first recognized. (she laughs).

You moved the audience by evoking the memory of your mother, let’s imagine that it is not obvious to share these memories with the public?

The studio atmosphere almost makes you feel like family. We don’t realize the extent this can have. It came naturally to me, it happened right after my first Masterstroke. Instinctively I thought of my mother. Because it’s someone who pushed me a lot, sometimes a little too much, it was heavy. But I would have liked him to see the result of these incessant training, and these moments of play that we were able to share together.

How did you experience the broadcasting of the programs?

We organized a house party, for the first broadcast, with all our friends from Questions for a sample. I had a hard time seeing myself on the screen. There, for a few days, I had to take a little distance. Also because some answers given to questions lead to their share of unpleasant comments on social networks, which contaminate the experience. I try to make sense of things, even if it’s not always easy, when you see the comments of some people who have to do just like that with their day. When we go back up their discussion thread, they do the same thing with all the midday Masters.

Is it something you weren’t prepared for?

Initially I thought that I would not have this curiosity to go and see. The first few times, the comments were very benevolent. She encouraged me to read them. The more we advance in time, the more it arouses jealousies. The comments have started to get hateful to some.

What will you do with your winnings?

With my wife, we will soon go on a trip. We should go to the United States. I would like, but in a rather distant future, to set up a library bar, around games of general knowledge, blind tests, with language lessons … It is an idea that came to me during the long nights spent between one recording and another. . I had trouble falling asleep.

Did your stamina surprise you?

Yes, I didn’t think I could withstand the shock like that. I knew a little about what the studio looked like, because my father worked in the cinema. This anthill behind the cameras is something I knew. With the difference that, at the cinema, on the set there is total silence while shooting. While there, the anthill continues to move despite the shooting. It allowed me to last longer on set.

Would you like to come back for special shows?

Oh yes of course! When it comes to playing, I don’t ask myself the question.
