Bhubaneswar: With Durga Puja around the corner, illegal activities seem to have increased in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. A crude bomb was allegedly hurled at ‘Rain The Club’ bar located in Cuttack Road area of Bhubaneswar.
The incident happened late last night, the media reported.
Sources said three bike-borne criminals reached near the ‘Rain The Club’ bar around 11pm and suddenly hurled the crude bombs before fleeing the scene.
The loud sound caused by the explosion of the bombs sent the locals into a panic.
The bar owner then lodged a complaint with the Laxmisagar police. After receiving the complaint, the police arrived on the spot and started investigating the case.
It is noteworthy that the owner of the bar was earlier attacked for extortion. This bomb incident may be the result of a previous feud, sources said.
