Benelli is looking to introduce a new 799cc roadster, which will be called the Benelli 802S in production form. Approval documents filed in China indicate the upcoming 802S, which will replace the current Benelli 752S, currently on sale in Europe, although Benelli India does not list it for sale in India. The 802S will replace the existing model’s 754cc unit, and the larger engine produces an additional 20hp, increasing the bike’s power from 75hp to 95hp.

Visually, there were no significant changes to the bike’s design, but the bike’s curb weight dropped significantly from 228kg on the 752S to 208kg on the 802S. At present, it is not clear where the weight savings have been achieved. The frame may have a different construction than the fuel tank and the material used in the saddle. The wheels have a new design, but the 50mm Marzocchi fork with Brembo brakes looks unchanged.

The new 799cc parallel twin engine is expected to be offered in several Benelli models, including the Leoncino 800, as well as the updated TRK 800, which is expected to arrive soon. Benelli already offers a new 698cc parallel twin with 75hp, which will be used in the upcoming TRK 702. It is not yet clear which new models Benelli India intends to introduce in India.
