Athipookal history
Padma (Devadarshini), Manokar (Chetan / Sathish) and Karpagam (Rajesh) are the protagonists of the show (Sandhya). Despite their happiness as a couple, Manohar and Padma have not been able to start a family despite being married for a long time. Anjali (Rani), Padma’s sister-in-law, is envious of Padma’s success and sneaks into her nutrition to make her sterile. Surrogate mother Karpagam carries Manokar’s son. The child is called Shiva. While Padma is unaware of Karpagam’s role as a surrogate mother, Anjali is aware of it. When Manokar and Karpagam are unjustly accused of having an illegal connection, and Padma believes she is her sister-in-law and gets angry, the situation quickly becomes tense. Indeed, Padma was willing to divorce Manohar. Anjali uses this knowledge to her advantage by plotting evil with the help of her servant Maha to permanently separate the couple. Anjali and her gangs, Saroja and Paanchali, go out of their way to kidnap Siva.
Padma eventually discovered Anjali’s terrible deeds, such as poisoning her and kidnapping her son. Padma is aware of this, so she confronts Anjali’s accomplice, Maha, about their criminal actions. After reflecting on his actions, Maha apologizes to Padma for all that he has done wrong. Anjali, however, has overheard Padma’s speech with Maha and decides to eliminate Maha for the betrayal she has committed. Life improves for Padma and Manohar after they are reunited. Karpagam has been happy since he finally got the touching moment she was hoping for. Yet Anjali returns to fire on Padma and Manohar, and it is Karpagam who is shot. Eventually he recovers enough to return to Badrinath. For the murders of Paanchali and Maha and the kidnapping of Siva, Anjali receives a long prison sentence.
