AirPods Pro 2 expected to feature H2 chip, longer battery life, and more

Apple’s next-generation AirPods Pro 2 are expected to feature Apple’s H2 chip, longer battery life, and more.

Kuo did not elaborate on what advantages the new one offers [H2] would provide, but as the H1 chip powers audio-related functions, the upgraded chip in the second-generation AirPods Pro could bring improvements in sound quality, latency, active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, Siri-based features and other .

While there have been no certain rumors about the new AirPods Pro with longer battery life, it’s reasonable to expect improvements in this area as it’s been nearly three years since the original AirPods Pro was launched.

In May 2021, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu reported that the second-generation AirPods Pro would include “upgraded motion sensors with a focus on fitness tracking,” but the report did not provide further details on the feature.

The AirPods Pro already come with a motion-sensing accelerometer, and it’s possible that improvements to this sensor will allow for some fitness tracking features, but Apple’s exact plans remain to be seen.
