A teaser for the Super Mario Bros. movie has finally been released

On April 7, 2023 the mario movie Starring Chris Pratt, Charlie Day and Anya Taylor-Joy will premiere.

Now that it’s finally here, the voice of Chris Pratt as Mario in Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. Movie has been eagerly awaited by Nintendo fans for over a year. Now we get to hear Pratt’s Mario and witness what the Minions movie studio can do with mushroom kingdom thanks to Nintendo and Illumination’s recently released first trailer.

Is the movie going to be a wow or a whoosh? We know they have experience with cute/funny little guys, and everyone in the Mario universe is a cute/funny little guy to some degree.

Like the first Sonic trailer the hedgehog movie was released (although most people sided with the “too many teeth” camp in this debate, necessitating a significant and expensive rework of the finished footage), this is a very personal choice that each individual will have to make for themselves.

Although they were assured for a long time that it would not be as terrible as Sonic’s teeth, the film’s production team constantly ensured that Mario Pratt’s voice will not only be good but that everyone will stop questioning the decision to hire him once they hear what he does.

The first official trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie has finally been released. Illumination’s interpretation of Mario was at least briefly teased during a Nintendo Direct and aired at New York Comic Con.

In the trailer, Bowser, Mario, Toad, and Luigi appear initially, along with several Koopa, Kamek, and Dry Bones. Many of these characters are also being introduced to us for the first time. Oh, there were also some angry penguins.

Illumination’s CEO and founder, Christopher Meledandri, told the Direct that animation for the film will be completed in a week and that the team is currently working on lighting and other effects, and the result will be recorded in just 11 days.

Brian Tyler, the film’s composer (whose previous work includes Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Crazy Rich Asians, Furious 7 and several Marvel films), has teamed up with legendary Mario and Nintendo composer Koji Kondo to ensures that beloved themes from the Mario series get the recognition they rightfully deserve.

Meledandri also guarantees that we will see additional film clips leading up to the film’s premiere. How much more can they pump into our pipes until the animated film, released on April 7, 2023, hits the screens? We still have six months.
