Police in Chofu, Tokyo, arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman as she walked home last month.
According to police, the incident happened around midnight on July 9, Kyodo News reported. Police said Shogo Ueda, a bank employee, approached the woman and asked if she had water because he “felt sick from drinking too much alcohol.” The woman said no and kept walking.
Police said Ueda followed the woman for about 300 meters before grabbing her arm from behind and groping her breasts. The woman broke free and ran to the nearby police box.
