Srinagar:
Two terrorists belonging to Ansar Ghazwatul Hind, linked to al-Qaeda, were killed Wednesday in a “chance encounter” with security forces in the Jammu and Kashmir district of Anantnag, police said.
He said terrorists identified as Fayaz Kumar and Owais Khan were involved in several attacks.
A police spokesman said in a tweet: “Two terrorists killed in a chance encounter by the Anantnag police in Thajiwara in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag”.
Additional Director General of Kashmir Police Vijay Kumar said the terrorists were linked to Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGuH).
