CM dedicates temporary shelter ‘Brundabati Nibas’ to Habisyali women


Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated a temporary shelter ‘Brundabati Nibas’ to Habisyali women, on the first day of month-long Kartik Brata.

Patnaik announced to provide a shawl to each beneficiary under the government’s Habisyali yojana.

The Chief Minister welcomed Habisyali women to the temporary shelter. Patnaik hoped that they would observe the pious Kartik Brata in peace and bliss. He sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath for them, their families and people of Odisha as well, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated.

Three Habisyali women namely Urmila Pattanayak from Ganjam, Sabitri Bindhani from Mayurbhanj and Dalimani Naidu from Puri town praised the Chief Minister on behalf of all beneficiaries.

School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash, Sports and Youth Services Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Ashwini Patra and Puri MP Pinaki Mishra were present on the occasion. Patnaik has always worked for welfare of the people of Odisha, they said.

Puri Collector, Additional Collector, MLA, Zilla Parishad chairman and several others were also present. Private Secretary (5T) to the Chief Minister VK Pandian managed the programme.
