Woolworths app Metro60 delivers groceries, including their famous roast chicken, in under an hour

The supermarket giant has announced that it will now offer home delivery of its famous hot roast chickens and thousands of other items for select customers – and it will arrive in 60 minutes so you can slap the iconic sanga chicken together for dinners during the week. hangover cures and everything in between. quickly.

Sharing on TikTok, Woolworths announced that it will offer the service as part of its new Metro60 delivery option.

Since the supermarket chain successfully tested the Metro60 app in June, it launched in Syndey and Melbourne and expanded to include 40 more suburbs in the two cities last month.

The app works similar to other delivery apps which allow customers to purchase groceries and receive them in minutes.

Woolies customers can choose from over 4,000 everyday products in different categories, including ready meals, fruit, meat, organic and plant products, dairy, pets, health, flowers and baby products.

Customers can access the service by downloading the Metro60 app, a new standalone app separate from the Woolworths and Everyday Rewards apps.

Von Ingram, director of transformation at Woolworths, said the new service is perfect for customers who are in a hurry and short on time.
