Will Tales Of The Jedi Season 2 air?

Considering that Tales of the Jedi was extremely short for a Star Wars series, if a second season were to be produced, it could have covered a lot more than just Count Dooku and Ahsoka Tano. Tales of the Jedi, a 6-episode limited series that premiered in October 2022, is animated in a similar fashion to The Clone Wars and Bad Batch.

Like most of the Star Wars animated series, Dave Filoni played a significant role in the creation of the series, writing most of it. His original plans for the series were to reveal Ahsoka’s origins and explain where Count Dooku was in Episode I.

Given that the first six episodes barely touched on two Jedi in particular, it’s quite likely that viewers will witness Tales of the Jedi Season 2. There’s no reason to stop after discussing the beginnings of just two notable Jedi—there are countless additional popular Jedi just waiting to have their stories told.

Tales of the Jedi has the rare ability to develop the stories it presents without rushing its concept to get to the action, which brilliantly sets up Tales Of The Jedi Season 2 and perhaps many more seasons.

There is a good chance that Tales of the Jedi Season 2 will happen

With the massive popularity of the Clone Wars, Dave Filoni received accolades for keeping the character of Anakin Skywalker alive. Since then, he has directed and helped create nearly every Star Wars animated program, and Tales of the Jedi is no exception.

The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Visions, two shows from the Star Wars universe, had additional seasons announced a few months after their initial releases. Star Wars series rarely get just one season.

Filoni remains as active as ever in creating Star Wars content, whether through his animated projects or his live-action series like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka. These examples make a strong case for thinking that Tales Of The Jedi Season 2 is both likely and possible.

When Tales Of The Jedi Season 2 May Release

There is a two-year hiatus between Season 1 and Season 2 of certain animated series such as The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Visions. The second season of Tales of the Jedi could air in late 2024 or early 2025 based on the time between these two shows.

However, Tales of the Jedi is only about half as long as most of the other Star Wars animated series, even though it changes the way viewers perceive Revenge of the Sith and other Star Wars films.

The series could probably be produced faster because Tales of the Jedi only has 6 episodes and each is 10–17 minutes long. Disney may intend to release shorter, more focused series more regularly than its longer works, suggesting that Tales of the Jedi Season 2 will air almost every year.

Which Jedi should Tales of the Jedi Season 2 focus on next?

The next character in Tales of the Jedi could be one of the hundreds of famous Jedi the series has yet to explore. The series generally focuses on the beginnings of each Jedi, such as the fall of Count Dooku and Ahsoka’s life before joining the Jedi Order.

Based on this, it might be interesting to delve into Obi Wan’s past, including his adventures with Duchess Satine and how he almost left the Jedi Order to be with her. In addition to discussing Obi-Wan, it might also be fascinating to discuss Plo Kun, who is one of Dave Filoni’s favorite Jedi.

In the early episodes of the Clone Wars, Master Plo Kun played a significant role in finding and delivering Ahsoka to the Jedi Temple. It also served as the inspiration for many clones.

It is also possible to explore Jedi that are not involved in the Skywalker saga, such as the outrageously convoluted story of Darth Revan, a fallen Jedi who shares some similarities with Count Dooku. Tales of the Jedi Season 2 offers plenty of storylines to explore regardless of who Disney chooses as its new leader.
