There’s still time to enjoy summer. Some argue that riding a bike together is more intimate than other activities (“it’s just like riding a bike!”), so it’s no surprise that Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum were photographed doing just that on the streets of New York this August.
The fact that Tatum is starring in Zoe Kravitz’s directorial debut, in which she also appears, made rumors of a possible friendship between the two actors all the more fun. Pussy Island is his unofficial nickname. Kravitz co-wrote the script, and the film also stars Naomi Aki.
Variety reports that Aki will play Frida, a young and shrewd cocktail waitress in Los Angeles who has set her sights on philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). After she successfully enters King’s inner circle and later, in an intimate meeting on his private island, she is set for the adventure of a lifetime.

In an interview with Deadline, Kravitz and Tatum complement each other in their performances. About the role of the tech mogul, “Chan was my first option, the one I thought of when I wrote this character,” Kravitz said.
I wanted to work with someone who was clearly interested in investigating this topic, and I knew from Magic Mike and his live shows that he was a true feminist. In the same vein, Tatum lashed out at Kravitz. It was a complete surprise to me when Zo called me to tell me the news.
The truth is, I had never heard of her. I had seen her in films and knew she produced High Fidelity, which I also saw, but I had no idea she was an artist at this level, much less that she wanted to direct. This completely caught me off guard and the nature of the subject matter made me wonder, “Why am I even being considered for this?”
Every time I try to audition for a role like this, I get thrown into a different lane with different expectations. As scary as it was to have an open dialogue where I could say whatever I wanted without fear of repercussions, it felt really liberating.

A reliable source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that their romance is real. I heard Zoe and Channing are dating. At first there was friendship, then it turned into something more. They were seen holding hands and kissing at a restaurant in New York.

The insider continued: “She’s in a fantastic situation career-wise and he has a good reputation as a father, so things are going great with Channing and she’s really happy.”
According to the same source, the director of Pussy Island “doesn’t mind having one child”, but is in no rush to start a family. Given Kravitz’s track record, however, it’s best to approach this information with a grain of salt.
When asked when she plans to start a family, Kravitz said, “I actually get offended by people suggesting that it’s something I have to do because society says so,” as heard on Dax Shepherd’s 2020 Armchair Expert podcast .
