Two teenagers are fatally shot, another injured at an intersection in California

A shooting at a San Bernardino intersection left two teenagers dead and another seriously injured Monday, though what led to the exchange of gunfire is still under investigation.

About 2:20 a.m., shots were fired near the intersection of Baseline Street and Waterman Avenue, and responding officers found two teenagers shot, said San Bernardino police Sgt. Aquino Thomas. One victim is a 16-year-old boy; the other victim, considered a suspect by authorities, has been identified as Joshua Villasenor, 18, of San Bernardino.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 13-year-old boy later arrived at a hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were still unclear Tuesday and detectives were continuing their investigation.
