A day after Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter became official overnight, former President Donald Trump said he was “very happy that Twitter is now in good hands.” Insisting that he intends to stick with his newly created social media network.
Truth Social, Trump — who was permanently banned from Twitter for what the company claims was his role in inciting violence during the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol — made no mention of returning to the service.
“TRUTH SOCIAL is starting to take on a life of its own. According to Trump’s post on Truth Social, it had more users last week than any other network, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and the rest. “It also looks and functions better in my opinion.”
Trump’s lifetime ban will be lifted, according to Musk, who is likely to lead Twitter. Trump said: “I am extremely happy that Twitter is now in safe hands and will not be run by radical leftist lunatics and maniacs who truly hate our nation.
Now that bots and fake accounts have hurt Twitter so badly, it needs to work hard to get rid of them completely. Although significantly smaller, it will be better. TRUTH IS MY LOVE! A number of veteran Twitter senior executives, including CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal and Vijaya Gade, the platform’s director of legal policy, trust and safety, were immediately fired when Musk’s purchase of Twitter closed late Thursday.
A little after #ElonMusk took control of Twitter, some conservatives wasted no time jumping on the platform and recirculating long-debunked conspiracy theories in an attempt to “check” whether Twitter’s misinformation policies still apply. https://t.co/YiKN1JJRbu

Musk is also the founder of Tesla and SpaceX. Musk tweeted “the bird has been released” at 11:49 PM ET. Trump is tight-lipped about his Twitter future in the following interview with Fox News Digital. I stand with the Truth, he declared. I prefer it, I like how it works, and I like Elon, but I’m sticking with Truth.
The beautiful thing about Twitter is how it enables citizen journalism – people are able to spread news without establishment bias

Without me, I don’t think Twitter can succeed, Trump continued. “12 years ago, I made Twitter a popular platform. When they shot it got cold and this happened. On Friday afternoon, Musk tweeted a response saying the organization “will convene a content moderation board with widely differing opinions” and promised that “there will be no major decisions about content or account recovery until that board meets.” .
