Truck driver electrocuted in Jaipur
Jaipur: In a tragic incident, a truck driver was electrocuted as the truck he was driving came into contact with an 11kV electric wire near a toll plaza near Singada Square under Panikoyli police station limits here in Odisha today.
The deceased driver has been identified as Suresh Kumar Das.
According to reports, Suresh was moving through Singada village after unloading goods from his truck.
While moving, the truck touched an 11kV electric wire hanging on the road.
As a result, the truck along with Suresh in it were electrocuted and immediately the truck caught fire. Also, leaving Suresh with critical injuries after being fatally electrocuted by the live wire.
Villagers soon came to the rescue, rescued Suresh from the truck and sent him to the District Hospital (DHH) for treatment in a critical condition.
However, he was declared dead by the doctors at the hospital.
In the meantime, the police arrived at the scene, seized the vehicle and initiated a pre-trial proceeding.
A pall of gloom descended on the village after the heartbreaking incident that took place on the village premises.
