Since Fox’s inception in 1996, Gallagher has served as the network’s primary breaking news correspondent, frequently dropping in on the network’s most popular daytime and most-watched shows to bring viewers the latest developments.

He has also hosted several other Fox daytime news shows. “When it comes to breaking news coverage, Trace Gallagher is one of the best in the business, and having an experienced journalist at the helm of this hour ensures our viewers unparalleled 24/7 breaking news coverage,” said Fox News Media CEO Susan Scott in announcing the movement.
