Thunderstorms, lightning continue in several areas

Bhubaneswar: Rainfall in the twin city continued today due to the formation of the vortex over the Bay of Bengal. In addition, the southern part of Odisha witnessed less rainfall.

According to the recent forecast, the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has issued a warning of thunderstorm and lightning in several districts of the state.

Meanwhile, the IMD has also predicted that from tomorrow the intensity of rain will gradually reduce and the weather is likely to change.

It should be noted that in the month of October, up to 79.4 mm of precipitation was recorded, which is 65% more than normal precipitation.

It is noted here that in yesterday’s forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over several parts of Odisha during the next 24 hours on Sunday.

A ‘yellow warning’ has been issued for heavy rainfall for 7 districts including Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput. The warning was in effect until this morning.
