The State of the European Union — MEPs debate

Coming to you from Strasbourg, EU Confidential reveals the big moment for the EU this week: Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s State of the Union speech. And we are convening a group of MEPs to discuss which policies have hit the mark and where the speech has fallen short.

POLITICO’s Suzanne Lynch, chief Brussels correspondent and your new host, is joined by technology reporter Clotilde Gujard in Strasbourg and energy reporter Victor Jack in Brussels to bring you highlights from the speech and analyze which big policies were announced and which fell short the incision.

MEPs Anna-Michel Assimakopoulou (EPP), Katalin Cech (Renew) and Nils Fuglsang (S&D) then discuss von der Leyen’s plan for next year.
