Powered by the new H2 chip, AirPods Pro (2nd generation) unlocks groundbreaking audio performance, including major upgrades to Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode, while offering a unique way to experience spatial audio that’s even more immersive. Using the TrueDepth camera on iPhone, users can create a custom Spatial Audio profile that offers a listening experience tuned just for them.

Now, customers can take advantage of Touch control for media playback and volume adjustment right from the stem, along with longer battery life, a brand new charging case, and an additional grommet size for a better fit. For added flexibility on the go, the AirPods Pro can now be charged with an Apple Watch charger, plus a MagSafe charger, Qi-certified charging pad, or Lightning cable. Plus, the newly designed charging case is sweat and water resistant, includes a lanyard loop6 so it’s always close at hand, and is easier to locate with Precision Finding and a built-in speaker.
Parker Hall by cable:
How good are the 2nd generation AirPods Pro compared to the originals? I would say these are the best in-ear headphones I’ve ever used with an iPhone.
You’ll notice a slight flat spot on the side of the trunk on each bud – it’s a new touch sensor that allows you (finally!) To adjust the volume by swiping up and down. The previous compression-based controls are still in play here, so you don’t miss out on any functionality you’re already used to. One press will play or pause, two presses will skip tracks, and one long press will activate Active Noise Cancellation or Transparency mode.
Between brand new drivers and a new amp on each side, I quickly noticed how much more balanced they sounded overall. The low-end is punchy but not boomy, the mid-range is present but not cloudy, and the high-end is clear but not hissing … The redesigned AirPods Pro are so good they can even make the hardest-to-play recordings look great.
The amount of noise reduction is also vastly improved over the already great first iteration. I have one of the loudest dogs in existence (I recently found out it’s 15% Alaskan Malamute and this track), and I swear, with these buds in it, I can’t hear him screaming for dinner.
They pair instantly, fit well, and are IPX4 rated water resistant, so you can take them with you to the gym and jog in the rain. The sound, noise cancellation, and microphones are top-notch for everything from running music to vital conference calls. You can use them to silence your screaming babies and now you can even pick up Taylor Swift without picking up your iPhone. What else do you really need from a pair of headphones?
