Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert KIA Forum: Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters’ longtime drummer, died while the band was on tour in March, dealing a devastating blow to the multi-platinum band.
To give themselves “a time to grieve, to heal, to bring our loved ones closer, and to cherish all the moments we’ve shared together,” Foo Fighters have postponed the remainder of their tour.
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” statement from the band after his death, “His musical spirit and contagious laugh will live with us all forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect at this unimaginably difficult time.
A two-show Taylor Hawkins tribute concert
In a two-date performance in honor of their late hero, the band now returns alongside a large line-up of other acts. The opening of the tribute concert took the stage September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium.
It features performances by several bands, including the Foo Fighters themselves and Liam Gallagher, Brian May, Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson.

The music will start at 7pm PT on September 27th at KIA forum in Los Angeles for the second tribute performance. Some of the musicians from the Wembley event will return, including Kesha, Mark Ronson and Joshua Home from Queens of the Stone Age.
Tuesday night will also feature performances from Miley Cyrus, Tommy Lee, Joan Jett, Tool’s Danny Carey, Alanis Morissette and more. The concert in Los Angeles will be broadcast live on Paramount+ and MTV, as it was in London on September 3.
