Smart China Expo (SCE) 2022 is held in that of southwestern China Chongqing Municipality from 22-24 August, where development plans, latest achievements and hot topics on applying the frontier technology of smart science to building smart cities are discussed. Among the world-renowned scientists representing at SCE 2022 is the 2010 Nobel Prize winner Constantine Novoselovand winner of the 2021 Turing Prize Jack Dongarra, academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and heads of famous companies such as Changan Auto, Alibaba Group and Huawei. They gave video speeches to discuss new technologies, developments and trends in building “smart cities” at today’s SCE opening ceremony and summit.
The Expo brought together more than 50 Fortune Global 500 and Fortune China 500 companies, including Huawei, Bosch, BOE and Inspu, in combination with the global release of Beitai Tianyuan V2.0 numerical computing software and the launch of the commercial operation self-driving Baidu scheme for the first time.
With an exhibition area of 90,000 square meters, 557 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions participate including Italymore than 1560 application scenarios are presented in over 30 fields and make extensive use of information technologies such as 3D with the naked eye, virtual reality (VR) and extended reality (XR).
This year’s SCE highlights cutting-edge performance showcase. Fifty-eight new products such as high-definition 8 thousand decoder and intelligent machine workshop, 15 new technologies including intelligent agriculture for desert socialization, 24 new applications such as the “city brain” big data platform and 16 new results involving the microchip and the IntelliSense system, are presented in this session.
Focusing on “Smart City” this year, the SCE establishes the honor guest province of Sichuan provincewith the aim of accelerating the development of intelligent industries in Chengdu And Chongqing through cooperation.
This year marks the fifth year of the SCE, helping Chongqing to accelerate the construction of the smart city and promote the deep integration of digital technology and economic and social development.
