Succeeded: A woman was brutally murdered in the middle of a busy street in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from Kaptipada locality in Mayurbhanj.
The deceased has been identified as Padmini Pradhan, a resident of Sanjunpal village under Kaptipada police limits.
According to reports, the woman was on her way home when unidentified criminals stabbed her with sharp weapons and fled the scene.
The woman was seriously injured in this attack. She was rescued by locals and rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The police arrived on the spot and removed the body and sent it for autopsy. An investigation is underway into the case.
