Section of Clemens Center Parkway closed yesterday

ELMIRA, NY (WETM) – A busy section of Elmira Road will be closed next Friday.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will repair a section of the Clemens Center Parkway that was damaged by a water line outage over the summer. At this time, emergency repairs were carried out, allowing the area to reopen. However, in recent weeks, additional signage has been installed in the southbound lanes of the scenic route to alert drivers of bumpy roads.

Convertible signs have been warning drivers of the impending road closure for nearly a week. Signs indicate that the walkway will be closed on October 28th.

Closing will begin at 6:30 on Friday and is expected to reopen at 18:00
