A large-scale denial of service attack has finally been successfully resolved.

A historically large cyber attack has been targeted against Estonia. The attack came shortly after the country announced it would remove Soviet-era monuments from public places. The attack is said to be the largest of its kind since 2007.

According to the Reuters agency, the Russian hacker group Killnet claimed responsibility for the attack. According to the group, it has blocked access to 200 government and private websites.

Despite the scale of the attack, the attack was successfully repelled in such a way that users of the services barely noticed any problems, Estonia’s Deputy State Secretary acting as IT Director Lucas Ilves said on Thursday, August 18, on his Twitter account.

According to Ilves’ update, the denial-of-service attack is resolved, with few exceptions, without disrupting services.
